Nice seeing you too. I agree the workshop was great! Jessamyn sure has a way of getting the juices flowing, she makes it sound so exciting and easy. Hope they have her back again! When I got back to work I told several people they were coming with me if they do have her back, no ifs, ands, or buts!

Hi Jane,
I am sorry about Bridgewater cutting hours and not getting the support from the town. What a tragedy.

I also have mixed feelings about the internet. Its a wonderful tool but it is a tool. It’s helpful to me to think of it as just another way to do things.

I feel as if I’ve fallen victim to being lured away. I find it increasingly difficult to go a day without checking e-mail. I’m hoping to go on a retreat for a week in July and have been told that no Internet access will be available. I’m already having panic attacks!

I’m also a former public librarian and I, too, am looking forward to this class. I find that most things aren’t as hard as they appear to be.
I agree that the internet is empowering and sometimes humbling…

It is unfortunate what has happened to the library in Bridgewater. I can only imagine how horrible it would be to be cut to so few hours. What happened to all the staff? Did you all get laid off?

I am also excited about this class. I can think of many applications for using a blog at work and hopefully will follow through with starting one. My director has wanted one on programming for quite some time and I was interested but don’t really have a lot of time at work to do it. My hope is that I’ll like it so much that I won’t mind updating it at home.
